Animal role play began for me at the age of four, when I discovered Beatrix Potter. It seemed utterly plausible that animals could share human characteristics such as speech and the wearing of clothes. My friends and I formed secret clubs, had secret meetings and played at being animals. By the age of eleven, I stopped playing animals and switched my interest to theatre, whereupon I learned how to play all kinds of people, dive inside a script and find that character within myself, regardless of who they were.
As I got older my taste for theatre evolved, and my interests began to lie in complex psychosexual dramas. In my last play before I turned in the towel, I played a Mistress; I then retired and became a professional Mistress. A year later I attended the San Francisco Fetish Ball and saw my first latex pony. He belonged to Madam Wilcox, writer of The Human Pony and later a dear friend.
